In 2018, our founder, Subhangi, was invited by the American Hardwood Export Council (AHEC) for a fellowship on wood sciences at the University of North Carolina.

She saw the process. She met the suppliers. That fellowship didn't just change our wood - it solidified the Furnicheer philosophy.

Before this journey, sourcing in India often meant navigating uncertified timber and inconsistent quality. She went searching for a material that could meet our architectural standards and ethical demands.
